Cottage 23

The Cottage

Number 23 has a wealth of exposed beams, original slate floor and a wood burning stove giving a homely charm to the living room. The fully fitted conservatory kitchen with dining table opens on to the split level patio garden with a dining area outside the kitchen and a raised decking area over the river. There is a super view of Dinas Bran Castle.

The main bedroom has a comfortable double bed while the small back bedroom has a 4ft bed. There is a shower room serving both bedrooms.

The cottage is heated from a night storage system.

Cottages 21 and 23 can be rented together as there is a gate between the gardens.

Church Street

Church Street is one of the oldest streets in Llangollen.

Until the 19th Century Church Street was the main road from London to Holyhead. Thomas Telford began his construction of the new A5 in 1815 taking all the traffic away from Church Street.

The Street's name comes from the Church of Saint Collen. The original church was founded by the Saint in the late 16th century. Collen was an Irish warrior and religious figure who lived for a time as a hermit on Glastonbury Tor. The church has been altered and rebuilt over the years, the amazing carved oak ceiling dates from the 15th century.
