Ramos Pinto Dry White Port.

Dry white is not the best name for this as it is not dry, only when compared to other white ports in Ramos’ range does this appear dry. Served cold this wine is the prefect summer aperitif and gets any dinner party off to the right start. I prefer to have it with an antipasto starter.

Ramos Pinto Late Bottled Vintage

Late bottled vintage, or LBV as it’s usually called, is a ruby port which only contains grapes from the best years aged in oak for 4 or 5 years, then bottled. This LBV is unfiltered for the biggest fruit flavour available for this wine. Although it is ready to drink straight away it will keep in the bottle for a good while and, although not strictly necessary, I find decanting to get a little air into the wine really helps.

Ramos Pinto Collector Port

Our entry level ruby port but that doesn’t mean that it is of any less quality. Blended from several years grapes to create a port of an average of 5 years. Collector port is also unfiltered which is rare for this type of port (don’t worry you wont have to decant it).

Ramos Pinto 30 Year Old Tawny

Taken from aged tawny wines from all their estates, this wine is expertly blended to show off the amazing almond / spice / wood flavours that tawny is famous for. There is very little fruit to hide any of the subtle nuances. I find the most amazing factor of the wine is the lack of overpowering spirity flavour which can be experienced in other ports of a similar age.

Ramos Pinto 10 Year Old Tawny

Tawny ports are aged in oak giving them a less dark, more reddish, light brown colour hence the name. The wood ageing also gives them a more subtle vanilla, nutty taste.

Made with the grapes solely from the Quinta de Ervamoira, a unique vineyard in the Duoro Superior but blended with different aged tawny to make an average of 10 year old.

Ramos Pinto 20 Year Old Tawny

Aged for an average of 20 years but contain a small amount of the oldest tawny port Ramos Pinto have. Using the grapes only from Quinta do Bom Retiro the oldest property. The port wine is extremely balanced and shows terrific length. Winning awards every year, this wine is the best example of what tawny can be. The blending “artists” very carefully create this complex wine and keep the quality consistent every year. Our most popular tawny, it is available in two sizes to appeal to every budget (50cl or 75cl).
