Situated in one of the oldest streets in Llangollen and a few seconds from the high street, Gales has 15 en-suite bedrooms. All our rooms are individually decorated and sympathetically restored in keeping with the historic character of the buildings.

Eight of the rooms are above the Wine Bar in a Georgian townhouse, with many original features.

The remaining rooms are in a much older timber framed building across the driveway. These rooms have exposed beams, wattle and daub walls and all have original features.

All our rooms are available as double or single occupancy, many can be used for twin or family occupancy.

All our rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hair-dryers, direct dial telephones, widescreen televisions and wifi access.

Hotel Rooms

Room One

Large room at the front of the building with a Seventh Heaven 5' Walnut Double Bed. The room has a roll top desk and a feature fireplace with a wall mounted flat screen TV.

Room Two

Large room at the front of the building with a large Georgian sash window. This room features a Double and a Single Brass bed and may be used as a family room (2 adults and 1 child). The room has a fine period bedroom suite, and a widescreen TV.

Room Three

Large family room (2 adults and 2 children) with a double brass beadstead and two single beds. The room has a high ceiling with exposed beams and a skylight plus a wall mounted flat screen TV.

Room Four

Quiet cosy room at the rear of the building. Wall mounted flat-screen TV.

Room Five

Spacious bedroom at the rear of the building with a 6' double bed. The bed has a pine feature recessed headboard. Widescreen TV. The large bathroom has a whirlpool bath and seperate shower. This room is situated directly above the bar and as such can be quite noisy on weekends.

Room Six

Cosy quiet room at the back of the building with Hulsta sofa bed and wall mounted flat screen TV.

Room Seven

Cosy room at the rear of the building. The room has a wall mounted flat screen TV.

Room Eight

Large room at the front of the building with a half-tester brass bedstead. This room has a very high ceiling with exposed beams and skylight. The room has a sofa and feature fireplace with a wall mounted 32" flat-screen TV.

Room Nine

Large airy room with exposed timber A frame and feature fireplace with cast iron grate and pine surround. The alcove houses a period desk. There is a widescreen TV and the shower room is accessed by steps.

Room Ten

Large Suite with bedroom, dressing area, bathroom and living room. in the bedroom there is a brass bedstead and exposed timber frame. The dressing area has exposed wattle and daub panels. The separate living room has a sofa and armchair, a feature fireplace and a widescreen TV. The shower room has a double shower cubicle.

Room Eleven

A light and airy room at the rear of the building. The room features an exposed timber frame and wall mounted flat screen TV.

Room Twelve

Large room with a period headboard. The room has a bay window with a gateleg table and two chairs, exposed timbers and a feature 'wig cupboard' set into the wall. Steps lead into a walk in wardrobe and on the other side of the room, down into the shower room.

Room Fourteen

Compact room with a period headboard, wall mounted 32" flat screen TV and adjoining door to room 15 for family use if required.

Room Fifteen

Large room at the back of the building with period mahogany furniture. There is an adjoining door to room 14 for family use if required (2 adults and 2 children).

Room Sixteen

Light and airy room at the back of the building. This room has a gothic style fitted wardrobe and a widescreen TV set into the inglenook recess.

Courtyard Cottage

This cottage is located to the rear of Gales Hotel and has its own parking area. The kitchen and living room are on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a study area, a small double bedroom with black iron bed and a spacious double room. This room has exposed brickwork and a high beamed ceiling. The bed can either be a 6’ double or two 3’ singles.

There is a bathroom serving both bedrooms with an exposed stone wall, bath with shower over and the basin features a deco style splashback. The loo is separate.

The cottage has full central heating.
